You'll act as the primary point of contact for key accounts while driving growth through new business development, technical proposals, and relationship building across the region.
This role combines account management with new business hunting, where you'll independently manage your territory, hit sales targets, and build long-term relationships while liaising between clients and internal teams to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction.
What you will do as a Key Account Manager...
Account Management: Manage key accounts within the customer portfolio, acting as primary point of contact for enquiries, needs, and concerns

Customer Excellence: Deliver exceptional service with customer satisfaction as top priority through regular check-ins and business reviews

Sales Performance: Hit sales targets and pre-defined objectives while forecasting order input amounts and timings

Technical Proposals: Fully estimate projects and produce technical proposals for customer requirements

New Business Development: Develop new business with consultants, contractors, and end users across the territory

Relationship Building: Develop and maintain long-term business relationships with new and existing customers in Scotland and the Northern region

Growth Identification: Conduct regular business reviews with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for expansion

Marketing Support: Assist in planning and participating in marketing, promotion, and customer entertainment activities

Internal Liaison: Act as bridge between clients and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and communication

Initiative Leadership: Lead and drive new initiatives to improve service delivery and account growth

What we are looking for…
Sales Experience: Previous experience in a sales role with proven track record of success in a similar position

Technical Qualifications: Relevant qualifications (e.g., electrical/mechanical background)

Relationship Skills: Ability to connect with people and build strong, lasting professional relationships

Communication Excellence: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Independence: Ability to work independently without supervision and manage own territory effectively

Customer Focus: Determination to deliver outstanding levels of customer satisfaction consistently

Driving License: Full, valid driving license for regional travel requirements
