Junior QA Tester (Part-Time)
We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Junior QA Tester to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will help ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications by executing test cases, identifying issues, and working collaboratively with developers to resolve bugs. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about quality, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
Job Responsibilities
Test Case Execution:
Ā Run predefined test cases on software applications to identify issues or bugs.
Ā Document test results and log any discrepancies between expected and actual outcomes.
Bug Reporting:
Ā Identify, record, and report software bugs with clear, detailed documentation.
Ā Collaborate with developers to clarify and prioritize issues for timely resolution.
Test Documentation:
Ā Assist in the creation and maintenance of test-related documentation, including test plans, test cases, and scripts.
Manual Testing:
Ā Perform hands-on manual testing based on test cases, user stories, and requirements to ensure software meets functional expectations.
Smoke Testing:
Ā Conduct initial smoke tests to verify that core functionalities are operational before further testing.
Exploratory Testing:
Ā Conduct unscripted exploratory testing to uncover potential issues that scripted test cases might miss.
Ā Attention to Detail: Able to recognize inconsistencies or errors in software functionality.
Ā Analytical Thinking: Capable of identifying patterns and problem areas in software performance.
Ā Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to document and discuss issues effectively with team members.
Ā Technical Familiarity: A basic understanding of software development, databases, and familiarity with test automation tools is a plus.
Ā Adaptability: Willingness to learn new tools and adjust to evolving project needs.
Ā Problem-Solving Skills: Proactive in investigating unexpected issues and adaptable in testing approaches to find solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ā Familiarity with basic testing tools or environments.
Ā Previous experience or exposure to software testing is a plus.

Ā At least 15mbps for the main internet and at least 10mbps for backup
Ā A desktop or laptop that has an i5 processor with at least 8 GB RAM and an i3 processor for backup
Ā Note: Back-ups should still be able to function when there is a power interruption
