Junior Accountant

Outova is a premier distributor of outdoor living products, seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily financial operations. The role involves ensuring the accuracy of financial data, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting and compliance. Responsibilities Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Account Reconciliations, Sales Tax Filings, Journal Entries, and Expense Reports Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of journal entries Process employee expense reports and credit card reconciliations Help support payroll processing by gathering and verifying employee data Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly Assist with audits, tax filings, and year-end closing procedures Maintain documentation and filing systems for financial records Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payments and invoicing Participate in process improvements and efficiency initiatives Other duties as assigned Skills Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) Strong organizational and time-management skills High attention to detail and accuracy Basic knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures Preferred experience with SAGE 100 Benefits Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
