We are hiring a Category Advisor to join our team!

This position will require local travel in the Northwest Arkansas area. The Category Advisor will lead and elevate the Tropicana Advisor relationship with the Category Merchant. You will be an unbiased thought leader and go-to resource for category and consumer trends, and merchandising solutions. You will lead Modular development processes, drive analytic solutions from multiple data sources across markets, shoppers, and consumers and provide expert category insight on performance, innovation, trends, and opportunities. Most importantly, this position requires both data and business savvy, with highly effective communication and problem-solving skills to provide best-in-class partnership to the retailer.

Major Tasks and Key Accountabilities
• Primary day-to-day contact for category buyer and space planning teams, providing best-in-class customer service and partnership
• The unbiased thought leader and go-to resource for category insights and analytics.
• Provide deep-dive presentations on category performance, innovation, shopper behavior trends, market share, etc.
• Identify growth opportunities and make recommendations on space allocation, merchandising fixtures/solutions, assortment, POG flow, etc.
• Lead the day-to-day POG development process from relay kickoff to turn-in.
• Collaborate with buyer to develop category strategy
• Ensure compliance with POG rules (days of supply, case pack, capacity, flow) and technical specifications.
• Partner with developers to translate category strategy and requirements into automation rules for software development.
• Provide buyer with presentation-ready strategy and relay walk-through decks for senior leadership.
• Train space team on category strategy and requirements for each relay.
• Provide ongoing updates on the latest emerging category and market trends.
• Stay abreast of the latest technology developments in space planning and make recommendations to improve efficiency and elevate overall advisory services.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree required; MBA a plus.
• 5+ years of Category Management / Insights / Analytics experience within the consumer-packaged goods industry. Category advisor/captain experience preferred.
• 5+ years' experience in analyzing and interpreting data.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, professional maturity, communication, influence, planning, project management, and critical thinking skills.
• Collaboration is essential in this role as the person will work very closely with the retailer directly
• Strong PC skill set (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) as well as space planning software (JDA, ShelfIQ, etc)
• Experience with standard data resources and solutions (Syndicated POS, Panel, Luminate, Retail Link).
