What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you'll be at the heart of our passenger operations, ensuring smooth check-in processes, providing accurate travel information, and creating positive experiences that keep customers coming back. Here's what your role will entail:

Passenger Check-In and Ticketing


Welcome arriving customers with a warm, professional greeting and assist them through the check-in and baggage drop process
Utilize computer systems to sell, print, and reissue tickets while ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures
Verify travel documentation, including passports, visas, and boarding passes, to ensure customers have proper identification for their destinations
Process seat assignments and provide information about available options, upgrades, and flight amenities
Handle changes, cancellations, and rebookings with patience and efficiency, turning potentially stressful situations into positive interactions


Baggage Handling and Processing


Label checked baggage accurately, ensuring proper routing and handling
Perform physical tasks including lifting, moving, and transporting baggage from scales to conveyor belts
Handle items ranging from floor level to waist level, maintaining proper lifting techniques to ensure safety
Manage baggage claim operations and assist customers with lost or delayed luggage issues
Comply with all security protocols and safety regulations during baggage handling operations


Gate Operations and Boarding


Work at gate areas to prepare flights for boarding, ensuring efficient passenger flow
Operate ground support equipment, including aircraft stairs, boarding bridges, and ground power units
Open, close, and secure aircraft doors in accordance with safety procedures
Make gate announcements regarding boarding procedures, flight status, delays, and connections
Manage the boarding process, including priority boarding, seat assignments, and documentation verification


Customer Assistance and Special Services


Provide comprehensive travel information, including flight schedules, destinations, airport facilities, and connecting flight details
Assist unaccompanied minors throughout the airport and boarding processes, ensuring their safety and peace of mind
Support passengers with disabilities, providing wheelchair assistance and personalized guidance
Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and empathy
Maintain composure under pressure while delivering exceptional service during busy periods, delays, or irregular operations


Safety and Security


Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
Adhere to security protocols and participate in mandatory safety training
Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any security concerns immediately
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
Protect passenger privacy and handle personal data with the utmost confidentiality


What You Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered
Language Skills: Fluent in English (both written and oral) with strong communication skills
Additional Language: Proficiency in Spanish (both written and oral) is strongly preferred
Computer Skills: Basic entry-level proficiency with desktop computers and keyboarding
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills using appropriate grammar, tone, and expression
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Capability to frequently lift bags and items weighing up to 50 pounds
Occasional lifting of items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds
Physical mobility to move throughout the airport terminal and aircraft areas


Availability: Willingness to work a fixed or rotating schedule including nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Work Environment: Must be comfortable working consistently in open, public areas
Documentation: Must possess valid legal documentation to live and work in the United States
Background: Ability to pass background checks and obtain necessary security clearances
