Apply via Dice today! • *Role: Java and Python Developer • *Location: Columbus, OH (Remote) • *Compensation: $42.00/hr (W2) • Duration: 6 Months • ### Position Overview** We are seeking a versatile Java and Python Developer with 6–8 years of experience to join our development team. This role requires deep expertise in Core and Advanced Java, the Spring Framework, and modern CI/CD automation. A background in Guidewire (PolicyCenter) is highly preferred to support specific insurance-domain product development. • ### Key Responsibilities • Java Development: Design and develop high-performance applications using Core Java and the Spring Framework (including Spring Boot/MVC modules). • Database Optimization: Write and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure data integrity and application performance. • Unit Testing: Implement robust testing strategies using mocking frameworks like Mockito or JMock. • DevOps Automation: Build and maintain modern CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Harness NextGen. • Python Integration: Utilize Python for automation, data processing, or auxiliary service development as needed. • Guidewire Support: (Preferred) Support integration and development within Guidewire PolicyCenter (PC). • ### Required Qualifications • 6–8 years of professional software development experience. • Backend Mastery: Deep expertise in Java (Core/Advanced) and Spring modules. • Testing: Strong familiarity with Mocking Frameworks. • CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with Harness NextGen and GitHub Actions. • SQL: Proficient in complex query writing and optimization. • Preferred: Prior experience with Guidewire products.
