About the Opportunity DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking several Japanese (Japan) Freelance Writers to produce high-quality content. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative project; your creative contribution will be used to test and improve Machine Translation technology. Ideal Candidate Candidates with demonstrated writing skills or experience will be considered. However, preference will be given to those who have previously published book(s) or can provide high-quality writing samples in relevant genres. Task Summary Writers will be required to complete 1 short story of approximately 6,500 words. The task begins with submitting a brief plot for approval. Once the plot is approved, writers will submit the first 1,000 words of the story for review. Upon approval of the initial excerpt, the writers can resume and complete the story within the specified timeframe. If needed, revisions may be required based on feedback received. Story Genres • Kids • Thriller/Mystery • Sci‑fi/Fantasy • Self‑help • Romance • Memoir/Autobiography/Biography – can be on anyone the writer chooses, even a made‑up person NOTE It is not allowed to use any AI tools to aid creation and all submitted content will be reviewed for plagiarism and the use of AI technologies. All work must be written entirely independently, and the use of generative technologies (e.g., ChatGPT and similar) is strictly prohibited.
