IT Support Technician

Remote Full-time

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for assessing and recommending hardware and software configurations, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical assistance to end users. This role involves direct interaction with users to resolve problems and maintain effective working relationships with vendors.ResponsibilitiesInspect PC equipment, set up and test PCs and peripherals such as monitors, keyboards, printers, wireless accessoriesPrepare PCs for delivery and installation at users work center or shop floorInstall, maintain and support operating system software, including the determination of errors and the application of corrections, as necessaryProvide first and second level of trouble-shooting in resolving problemsUse ticketing software to document and escalate issues to additional support teamsMaintain good working relationships with manufacturing vendors and support providersCoordinate the work of vendor representatives assisting in system maintenance or upgradesDiagnose system hardware, software, and operator problemsRecommend or perform minor remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operationsWork with IT management to provide proper levels of customer service based on customer needsWork with remote users across corporate environment to provide support with various remote-control softwarePractice effective time management and prioritization of tasksWork with support personnel in all areas of IT including Networks, Programming, Systems, and Analysis for issue resolution and continuous improvementDevelop policies and procedures that outline how problems are identified, documented, assigned, and correctedAttend technical conferences, formal training classes, and seminars to keep abreast of new hardware and software product developmentsMust be able to work flexible hours to assist with computer maintenance and upgradesSkillsKnowledge of computer hardware and configurations required0-2 years of relevant work experience requiredHigh school or GED requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, MS Windows, iOS2 Year / Associate Degree preferredBenefitsHealth & Family SupportFinancial SecurityLearning & DevelopmentRewards & RecognitionWellbeing & Mental HealthWork-Life BalanceFun PerksCompany OverviewGreenheck Group manufactures commercial air movement, control, and conditioning equipment.
