IT Desktop Support Tech
About the position
As an IT Desktop Support Technician at LJA Business Solutions, you will provide second-level technical support for desktop & laptop PCs, network printers and mobile devices. This position will require travel as needed to Colorado office locations including; Colorado Springs, Westminster, Grande Junction, Loveland, and Denver.
Responsibilities
β’ Providing Tier 1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
β’ Creating and maintaining knowledge base articles to improve department efficiency and reduce repeat issues.
β’ Documenting issues, resolutions, and technical procedures in a ticketing system.
β’ Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows & MacOS operating systems and enterprise applications.
β’ Supporting end-users in person or remotely via VPN, remote desktop tools, and mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
β’ Performing system updates, patches, and security compliance checks.
β’ Assisting with deploying and maintaining IT assets, including imaging, setup, and inventory management.
β’ Collaborating with IT teams to improve processes, optimize system performance, and ensure security best practices.
β’ Training end-users on software applications and IT policies when needed.
β’ Assisting with office projects, including office relocations, expansions, and infrastructure upgrades.
β’ Coordinating desktop setups for new office locations, including network cabling, computer equipment deployment, and computer configurations and installations.
β’ Performing any additional duties or tasks, as required.
Requirements
β’ 1+ years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk roles.
β’ Fundamental knowledge of Windows 10/11, MacOS, Office 365, and Active Directory.
β’ Experience with network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
β’ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
β’ Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-haves
β’ Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools like Fresh Service or similar.
β’ Experience supporting Engineering software such as AutoCAD, Bentley Projectwise or ESRI ArcGIS preferred.
β’ Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection.
β’ Experience assisting with office moves, IT desktop setups, and infrastructure projects.
