The IT Business Analyst will assist the Applications Team with system administration for web-based applications, collecting user requirements, providing technical support, and testing new applications.ResponsibilitiesAssists the Applications Team with system administration for several web-based applicationsCollects user requirements from end users on IT applicationsSupports end users with SRMP and SERA access and providing technical supportWorks closely with the programmers on the application development team and helps translate end user requests into meaningful work objectivesHelps test new applications to find bugs, issues and other problemsResponsible for documenting routines and creating Standard Operating ProceduresSkillsBachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or any related field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business consultation, process improvement, or requirement gathering in an information technology environmentAssociate degree in business administration, computer science or any related field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of related experienceHigh School or GED and four years of related experienceAn equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience facilitating technical trainings to adult professionalsExperience collecting user requirements and documenting processes in a technical environmentExperience providing technical support to end usersExperience testing web based applications for responsive design and browser compatibilityExperience maintaining websites using Drupal or a content management system (CMS)BenefitsPaid vacationPaid sick leavePaid holidaysRetirementHealth insurancePublic Service Loan Forgiveness ProgramCompany OverviewThe NC Department of Public Safety is North Carolina's statewide public safety and homeland security agency.
