Internal Broker Specialist - Property (US)

General Description: Determine whether prospective client accounts can be placed with existing brokerage carrier partners. Identify and arrange for appropriate insurance coverage through accessible brokerage markets.

Responsibilities...
Ā• Market, quote, and bind new and renewal business directed to internal wholesale brokerage team.
Ā• Identify the appropriate market, price, coverage, terms, and conditions for internal clients.
Ā• Identify the need, order, and evaluate additional risk assessment information.
Ā• Evaluate quotes and contract provisions offered by insurance markets. Present pricing and terms.
Ā• Take policy to completion with recommending and binding coverage, invoicing, and policy issuance.
Ā• Develop and maintain relationships with internal resources and existing insurance carriers.
Ā• Build relationships with new insurance carriers.
Ā• Ensure a high degree of accuracy in agency management systems.
Ā• Engage in professional development and relevant industry training.
Ā• Maintain necessary licenses to underwrite business.
Ā• Keep informed about industry information, technology, and trends.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ā• 5 years + of Property & Casualty insurance experience.
Ā• 2 years + of brokerage or underwriting experience.
Ā• College degree preferred. High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree required.
Ā• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
Ā• Ability to meet established performance and revenue targets.
Ā• Ability to provide market intelligence, consultation, and client-specific assistance to inside sales associates.
