Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and group instruction to students in a classroom setting, focusing on achieving course expectations.
Assist students with note-taking, computer use, and other school-related tasks.
Collaborate with certified staff to provide targeted interventions and support student progress.
Maintain clear communication with staff and students, ensuring seamless coordination of student services.
Participate in professional growth activities to enhance job performance and stay up-to-date on best practices.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Possession of Illinois Professional Educator License with Stipulations – Paraprofessional, Substitute Teaching License, or Professional Educator License.
Knowledge of high school students' needs and behavior issues.
Experience working with special needs/at-risk student populations.
Familiarity with Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) protocols and practices.
Strong subject knowledge in core academic areas.
Excellent behavior management and interpersonal skills.
