Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative will partner with Enterprise Account Executives to drive growth in large accounts through outbound prospecting and closing smaller deals independently.ResponsibilitiesOwn and execute renewal and change order opportunities (iACV Drive outbound prospecting activities — cold calling, sequenced email, and multi-thread outreach — into Benchling's largest accountsServe as a trusted advisor to customers by developing deep understanding of their existing and future R&D workflows and roadmapPartner with Customer Success Managers to identify product expansion opportunities within the existing user baseBuild and maintain rigorous Account Plans, Org Maps, and Opportunity documentation to support coordinated account strategyContribute to consistent attainment of revenue and booking targets within assigned territorySkillsLife science background required — either a bachelor's degree in a life science discipline (e.g., molecular biology, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, biochemistry) or direct experience selling into pharma, biotech, or life science organizations1–3 years of experience in a Sales Development or Inside Sales role, ideally with exposure to enterprise or complex accountsDemonstrated track record of consistent, high-volume outbound activity and strong conversionStrong verbal and written communication skills — you can translate scientific complexity into business valueExperience with account planning, organizational mapping, or structured sales methodologiesSelf-motivated and methodical: you don't wait to be told what to do, and you follow through on what you commit toPrior experience selling into Top 20 Pharma or large biotech accountsFamiliarity with Salesforce, Outreach, or similar sales toolsExposure to scientific research workflows, laboratory software, or R&D processesBenefitsFlexible Hybrid WorkCompany OverviewBenchling is an IT company that provides a cloud-based software platform for biology researchers and research and development organizations.
