Inside Business Development Representative
Description:
• Culture’s mission is to simplify and accelerate bioprocess development to enable our customers to bring their biopharmaceutical products to market faster.
• Culture Biosciences is looking for a part-time Inside Business Development Representative to join our growing team.
• You will be responsible for assisting the business development efforts for our portfolio of products, services and software.
• This role reports to the Sr VP of Commercial.
• This is a part-time, temporary role expected to last 3 months, with potential to extend.
• Work to further assess and develop Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) into Sales Qualified Leads (SQL’s) and/or early stage Sales Opportunities for handoff to field Business Development Managers.
• Manage a professional and engaging customer relationship and experience through the qualification process.
• Keep the customer relationship management system (Salesforce.com - SFDC) updated with timely and complete information.
• Provide market and customer feedback to the organization.
Requirements:
• You have 5+ years of technical sales experience in the biopharmaceutical/biotech industry.
• Experience selling technical products (equipment and/or consumables) and services to biopharmaceutical and biotech companies will be strongly preferred, ideally with focus on upstream bioprocessing.
• Strong technical background in bioprocessing required, with upstream processing (cell culture) knowledge preferred.
• You have strong analytical skills with the ability to create data-driven business cases and pitches.
• Experience with SFDC preferred.
• You are an excellent communicator and have strong emotional intelligence.
• You are self motivating and work well independently.
• You’re an adept collaborator and able to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders that enable productive, commercial relationships.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in a related scientific or engineering field. In lieu of this degree, you have experience in biotechnology and bioprocessing.
