About this Position:
Job Title: Information Systems Architect
Major Responsibilities:
ā¢ Design, deploy, and administer AWS environments following best practices.
ā¢ Support AWS account structure, IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege access.
ā¢ Develop and maintain solutions using AWS services including (but not limited to): Amazon EC2, Auto Scaling, and Elastic Load Balancing.
ā¢ Amazon VPC, subnets, routing, and security controls.
ā¢ Amazon S3, EBS, EFS, and data lifecycle policies.
ā¢ AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and serverless architectures.
ā¢ Amazon CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Config.
ā¢ Develop and support Amazon Connect contact center environments, including: Contact flows, queues, routing profiles, and prompts.
ā¢ Integrations with AWS Lambda, APIs, and external systems.
ā¢ Call recording, analytics, and troubleshooting.
ā¢ Design and integrate AI-enabled solutions using Amazon Bedrock where applicable.
ā¢ Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent tools.
ā¢ Monitor system performance, availability, and cost optimization opportunities.
ā¢ Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
ā¢ Support CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
ā¢ Collaborate with security teams to implement encryption, logging, monitoring, and compliance controls.
ā¢ Maintain documentation, runbooks, and architectural diagrams.
ā¢ Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to team members.
ā¢ Participate in scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and after-hours support as required.
Required Skills:
ā¢ 6+ years of overall IT experience supporting enterprise systems.
ā¢ 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience in development and/or administration.
ā¢ 3+ years of experience with AWS core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and Lambda).
ā¢ 3+ years of experience with Amazon Connect and/or contact center technologies.
ā¢ 3+ years of experience integrating APIs, serverless functions, and cloud-native services.
ā¢ 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation.
ā¢ 3+ years of experience with security best practices, logging, and monitoring in AWS.
ā¢ 3+ years of scripting experience (Python, Bash, or equivalent).
Preferred Skills:
ā¢ Experience with AI/ML integrations and prompt engineering.
ā¢ Experience with hybrid cloud or third-party integrations.
ā¢ Cost optimization and FinOps experience.
ā¢ Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and Hybrid Cloud Architectures.
Education and Certifications
ā¢ Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional OR AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
ā¢ Preferred: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305).
