The Information Analyst role involves conducting extensive research, analyzing legal and financial records, and preparing due diligence background reviews to maintain the integrity of the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange markets.ResponsibilitiesPrepare extensive research, using databases, print sources and industry contactsAnalyze and summarize pertinent legal, regulatory and financial industry recordsPrepare due diligence background reviews identifying potential problems with companies and individualsLiaise with regulatory and law enforcement contacts; exchange confidential information pertaining to investigative filesMaintain a high level of knowledge and expertise through reading appropriate literatureParticipate on project teams within the departmentAssist in additional tasks including, but not limited to sending and receiving criminal record results from both domestic and international agencies, process external research requests to external vendors and monitoring of team inboxesSkillsUniversity Degree with preferred focus on Information Studies, Business/Commerce, Finance, Political Science or EconomicsStrong research skills: Experience using commercial online databases (such as LexisNexis) and internet search engines and AI toolsStrong attention to detailStrong analytical skills: ability to understand and piece together complex information gathered from many sources, and to summarize clearly and conciselyStrong proficiency with Google Suites application and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MS Word)Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProven ability to provide excellent client service and work in a team oriented environmentCanadian Securities CourseSalesforce ProficiencyFrench Language SkillsBenefitsGenerous time-off and leavesFlexibility and balanceCloud-first and hybrid workstyleCompany OverviewTMX Group is a corporation that manages many marketplaces to offer investment options to its clients.
