We are supported by our readers who pay for a subscription to build a more nuanced understanding of the news, the world, and themselves.The Opportunity: Influencer Marketing Manager (Remote - Canada) We’re looking for a news enthusiast who wants to use their skills to cultivate a community of people who seek understanding above ideology. As the Influencer Marketing manager, you’ll be responsible for sourcing, and most importantly, negotiating, sponsorships with content creators from across the political spectrum and in a variety of verticals to support the company’s growth and brand initiatives. We are looking for someone who embraces the entrepreneurial spirit, loves a good deal, and can handle the demands of a fast-growing startup. The right candidate will play an integral role in guiding our influencer marketing strategy and leave their fingerprint on Ground News for years to come.What You’ll Do:Outreach: Continuously identify and recruit new influencers and content creators based on brand alignment, engagement, performance, and other KPIs determined by leadershipNegotiation: Coordinate sponsorship deals, driving financial and legal terms including contractsContent Creation: Work with content creators to develop campaigns that maximize the features of each channel with a strong focus on YouTube and newslettersEvaluation: Work with our analytics team to evaluate and demonstrate the impact of influencer campaigns, including but not limited to impressions, clicks, installs, subscriptions and revenue, and advise on future optimizations to meet business goalsRelationship Management: Maintaining positive relationships with influencers, brand partners and agenciesDevelopment: Continue to evaluate the existing influencer program to develop better reporting practices and prospect for new influencer platforms and channel strategies that will bring it in line with future-state objectives What You’ll Have:A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experiencePassion and aptitude for deal-making (there will be a bonus component to the compensation)Expertise in all things digital media (YouTube, Instragram, Twitter, Newsletters and Podcasts)An eye for talent and identifying rising stars and trendsAble to interpret data to negotiate the best price and budget effectively Able to make improvements to content, from concept to execution and improvement Able to keep workload organized, produce accurate and quality work, set priorities, and manage multiple projects to meet deadlinesSales acumen and experience in account and relationship managementCreativity to innovate on current campaigns and suggest new formatsAble to work remotelySelf-motivation and adaptability are a must!
