In-House Paralegal (Hybrid/Remote) - Temp

Description Trustpoint One is pleased to assist a leading corporation in its search for a Labor and Employment Paralegal to assist with a temporary assignment. The position has hybrid flexibility in the Chicago office. The Paralegal will provide support to 2-3 Labor and Employment Attorneys. Duties include: • Provide support to the US Labor and Employment attorneys; • Conduct legal research, including 50 state surveys; • Assist with investigations related to attorney demand letters, administrative charges of discrimination and other legal claims. Includes working with internal clients and coordinating with outside counsel; • Draft various documents including template documents, cease and desist letters, company policies, responses to administrative charges and government agency investigations; • Complete administrative duties such as file management, legal calendar management, dispute tracking, legal invoicing and tracking, litigation analysis and reporting to identify trends; • Assist with drafting severance and release agreements including coordinating with payroll for payment tracking; • Assist with preparing training decks on labor and employment law topics. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate; • Litigation experience in the employment law context; • Document management experience; • Familiarity working directly with attorneys and inhouse experience; • 2-5 years of labor and employment; • Ability to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time.
