Position description
The UCLA Music Department invites applications for a part-time lecturer position in music technology for the Music Education program for the 2024 Winter quarter. Salary commensurate with applicant qualifications and experience; percentage of appointment commensurate with course units.
Responsibilities will include teaching a new music theory course, ?Music Creation and Analysis through Technology? to music education majors. This is a second-year theory course whereby students will apply theory concepts learned to creating and analyzing music through technology.
Applicants should have an established reputation as a performer and teacher with expertise in music theory, technology and pedagogy skills necessary to nurture future music educators. A post-baccalaureate degree is preferred.
The application deadline is November 1, 2023 with an anticipated appointment date of January 1, 2024.
