This role will create a balanced and robust learning experience for students and evaluate student progress on each assignment and works with Center staff to ensure learning is personal for each student. today for a $300 Sign-On Bonus Responsibilities: Greets students in a welcoming and friendly manner Initiate instructions to personally engage each student Instruct students according to the design of the Sylvan programs Manage students, tasks and time to create a balanced and robust instructional, educational session Evaluate and record the progress of each student on their program assignment Manage the conclusion of each instructional session, completion of learning logs and transition activities Supports procedures to ensure student safety and well-being Attends periodic staff meetings and completes ongoing training as needed General qualifications: Able to Engage, motivate and inspire students to learn Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible Strong problem solving and customer service skills Specific category qualifications: Language Arts and Study Skills Program Teachers: Four-year degree or equivalent preferred State or provincial teaching credentials preferred (Current or expired) Minimum of one or two years of teaching experience (Preferred) Knowledge of phonics and reading comprehension (Preferred for reading teachers) Math Program Teachers: Four-year degree required or equivalent to experience in college level math State or provincial teaching credentials preferred (Current or expired) Minimum of one or two years of teaching experience (Preferred) Knowledge of phonics and reading comprehension (Preferred for reading teachers) Position details: Part-Time position Monday - Thursday 3:00pm- 8:00pm Saturday 9:00am- 1:00pm Reports to: Center Director Fully prepared lesson plans and materials are provided Paid training Great culture Employee events About us: At Sylvan Learning Center, we don't hire just anybody.
