As a Business Office Manager at Stellar Senior Living, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of the business office within a skilled nursing facility. This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while still making a significant impact on the lives of seniors. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, as well as preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and the general ledger. Your expertise in healthcare finance will be essential as you coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections, and ensure that all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). In addition to financial management, you will prepare and present financial reports to facility management and the corporate office, manage the payroll process, and monitor census data to ensure proper billing and reimbursement. You will also oversee the facility's petty cash and cash receipts processes, providing support and guidance to the management team on financial matters. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes, particularly with Colorado Medicaid Billing, as well as experience with electronic medical records and billing systems. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be vital in fostering collaboration within the team and ensuring that financial operations run smoothly. Responsibilities
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the business office, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.

• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Prepare and present financial reports to facility management and corporate office.

• Manage the payroll process, including timekeeping, payroll processing, and payroll tax compliance.

• Monitor and maintain accurate census data to ensure proper billing and reimbursement.

• Manage the facility's petty cash and cash receipts processes.

• Provide support and guidance to the facility's management team on financial matters.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Experience with Colorado Medicaid Billing is a must.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in healthcare finance, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.

• Strong knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes.
,
• Experience with electronic medical records and billing systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
