BlazerJobs is partnering with NSSEO (Northwest Suburban Special Education Organization) in Arlington Heights, IL to hire a passionate Special Education Teacher for a 4th/5th grade self-contained classroom. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative and well-supported environment that prioritizes student success and staff development.
Position Details
• Start Date: August 2025
• End Date: June 2026
• Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
• Setting: 4th/5th Grade SPED classroom
• Location: Arlington Heights, IL
• Work Environment: 100% onsite
Role Highlights
• Teach all core academic subjects to a small group of students (currently 7)
• Classroom supported by a social worker and 2 ESPs (Educational Support Personnel)
• Students attend daily specials (e.g., art, music, PE)
• The therapist (you) will act as IEP case manager, collaborating on behavioral plans and accommodations
• Highly collaborative team focused on holistic support and inclusion
Requirements
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement
• Experience in self-contained or structured SPED classrooms preferred
• Strong ability to collaborate with support staff and specialists
Compensation & Perks
• Weekly pay via W-2

Travel or Local Contract Options
Travel Assignments Include:
• Tax-free stipends for housing and meals
