Position: Mainframe Admin (Remote) Location: Remote okay, but prefer Dallas TX or Chicago IL (onsite 2 3 times/month). Duration: 6-12 Months Job Description We are seeking an experienced IBM MQ Mainframe Administrator to support, maintain, and optimize our enterprise messaging infrastructure on z/OS. candidate will have deep expertise in IBM MQ administration, mainframe operations, and enterprise integration, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-pert message delivery across critical business applications. Responsibilities: Install, configure, and upgrade IBM MQ queue managers and related components on z/OS. Manage MQ objects including queues, channels, listeners, and process definitions. Monitor MQ performance, availability, and message flows; proactively address issues and bottlenecks. Troubleshoot and resolve MQ connectivity, message delivery, and operational problems. Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures for MQ environments.
