IBM Container Security Engineer
job summary: Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Positive relationship management and facilitation skills Strong analytical and/or project management skills required Ability to provide 24x7 support for the production environment Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills location: Roanoke, Texas job type: Contract salary: $67 - 68 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology related field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) required, Masters' degree a plus. 7-8+ years of hands-on experience deploying and/or supporting highly distributed multi-tiered systems at scale. Highly experienced managing technology environment stability and availability. Knowledge of ITIL practices. Demonstrated expertise of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and principles. Experience with Agile software development methodologies, delivery projects, and implementation. Knowledge of basic networking (ping, traceroute, DNS) Hands on experience with search and analytics engines (Splunk, DataDog...) Hands on experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems Experience with workflow design, data analysis, and requirements identification/specification Experience with cloud-based technologies including SaaS solutions in the cloud and AWS/AZURE Hands-on experience with container orchestration, preferably with Kubernetes Experience with Tasklance/CD pipelines and associated technologies Experience with PowerShell and Python scripting Production support experience with financial systems Demonstrated creative and abstract thinking. Ability to triage, complete root cause analysis, and be decisive under pressure. Experience of docker, cloud-computing / cloud services platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure) AWS Certification a plus qualifications: Effective communication and will share your ideas and opinions as we look to innovate and improve our platforms.
