Building Automation System Programmer (HVAC exp req) Description
Our client, a leader in Building Automation Systems (BAS), is seeking a HVAC Controls or BAS Programmer to join their team in Loudoun County, VA. You will help develop and deploy intelligent automation solutions for HVAC and energy management systems. Working closely with engineers and field teams, you will program, test, and optimize Schneider, Delta, and Niagara Framework platforms to bring buildings to life with smart technology. Ideal candidates have Building Automation programming experience, strong scripting skills, and a solid understanding of HVAC controls and networking. HVAC Controls or BAS Programmer (HVAC exp req) Responsibilities
• Develop and implement BAS programming solutions for assigned projects
• Manage project timelines and maintain customer communication
• Write and refine automation scripts to optimize building performance
• Translate system drawings into fully functional software
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure proper sequence of operations
• Work with engineers and field teams for seamless deployment
• Oversee system graphics development and quality control
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software and system issues
• Support ongoing improvements and system updates
• Ensure successful project turnover to the service department
HVAC Controls or BAS Programmer (HVAC exp req) Qualifications
• 2+ years of HVAC Controls or Building Automation Programming experience required
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, or control systems required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings required
