We specifically aim to bring greater participation to the economically disadvantaged across the globe and in building a system to support upward mobility. Our programs include KeelWings, which provides practical experience for recent graduates, and KeelMate, which supports the experienced professionals.

Position Overview

The HR Operations Lead will oversee and drive the internal HR processes that sustain KeelWorks’ people management framework. This role ensures that HR policies, guides, and procedures are implemented effectively, consistently, and with high quality. By training team members, monitoring process execution, and leading quality assurance efforts, the HR Operations Lead ensures the HR function runs smoothly and supports the organization’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

Process Leadership & Oversight
• Oversee all HR operational processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with organizational needs.
• Conduct periodic reviews of HR guides, documentation, and workflows to maintain consistency and compliance.
• Identify inefficiencies and lead process improvements for scalability and sustainability.

Team Training & Development
• Train HR staff and volunteers to perform their duties effectively and confidently.
• Provide coaching and guidance to HR members to strengthen skills and ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Encourage accountability, ownership, and a culture of continuous improvement within the HR team.

Quality Assurance & Compliance
• Monitor the completion of HR tasks and processes, ensuring adherence to standards and organizational values.
• Lead quality assurance reviews to maintain high performance across HR functions.
• Stay informed on HR best practices, nonprofit regulations, and emerging trends to ensure compliance and adaptability.

Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with HR team leads and cross-functional partners to ensure smooth execution of HR responsibilities.
• Communicate clearly with team members and leadership regarding process updates, challenges, and improvements
• Act as a bridge between HR operations and organizational leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential
• Strong understanding of HR processes and operational frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience in training, coaching, or leading HR staff or volunteers.
• Ability to drive accountability and ensure task completion.
• Experience in quality assurance and process monitoring.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic, evolving environment.

Preferred
• Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
• Familiarity with HR technology, systems, and documentation tools.
• Familiarity with Project Management technology, systems, and documentation tools.
• Background in change management or process improvement.
