Job Title: Human Resources Generalist.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, based on experience and location.
Full-time, Exempt Position.
100% Remote – U.S. Based.

Position Overview: We are searching for an experienced full-time Human Resources Generalist to assist and back-up the Human Resources Manager, in running the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department. Aardy is a small company, but our entire staff is remote and based throughout the country, therefore, compliance and employee relations are constant. The HR department has been a department of one for close to four years, and that is no longer sustainable. We need someone that is experienced with a multi-state workforce and can hit the ground running. This is not an entry-level position. Of course, there will be training on how Aardy’s HR department operates, but you will be expected to have HR knowledge in line with what is expected from a Generalist with 2+ years of experience.
This is an exempt position that will work a Monday through Friday schedule. As the company works on east coast hours, a morning person is preferred. This position reports directly to the HR Manager.
We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible, but the right fit is our priority. Veterans are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to qualified candidates based in Arizona (Maricopa County).
What you will do
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist HR Manager with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Assist HR Manager with all employee relations.
• Assist HR Manager with policies and procedures creation, management, and enforcement.
• Assist HR Manager with benefits administration and audits.
• Assist HR Manager in all compliance related to payroll, HR, benefits, and federal/state employment law.
• Assist HR Manager with employee culture and morale.
• Assist HR Manger with proper recordkeeping and documentation.
• Assist HR Manager with maintaining and updating our HRIS and payroll system (Paylocity).
• Provide leadership for the HR Department in the absence of the HR Manager.
• Process payroll in HR Manager’s absence.
• Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
• Ad hoc report requests.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications (Mandatory):
• Must have a minimum of two (2) year of experiences as an HR Generalist. Experience in a comparable or senior role is acceptable.
• Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in a 100% remote-based position.
• SHRM or HRCI certification required or obtained within six months of hire.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong foundational knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
• Strong foundational knowledge and understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
• Experience with at least one HRIS/payroll system i.e. Paylocity, Gusto, Paychex, ADP, etc.
• Must have experience working with payroll related tax agencies and understand how they work.
• Computer literate with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to navigate basic software programs such as Slack, Zoom, etc.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must have a strong command of the English language (verbal and written) as well as excellent communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain appropriate and effective relationships in the workplace.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to learn new systems, skills, and tasks quickly.
