HR Data and Onboarding Associate

Penn State University is seeking a Data and Onboarding Associate to provide outstanding support to the HR Data and Onboarding team. This role involves assisting new employees with onboarding processes and ensuring timely processing of HR and payroll forms. Responsibilities Providing a positive and welcoming onboarding experience to new employees joining the Penn State community Assisting new employees with the completion of Form I-9 and other related onboarding requirements in accordance with Federal/State laws and University policies Processing human resources and payroll forms in our Human Capital Management system, Workday Ensuring timely processing in accordance with payroll deadlines Skills General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted (if filled as Human Resources Assistant - Intermediate Support) No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education (if filled as Human Resources Assistant - Support) Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail Professionalism Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team High degree of sensitivity in handling confidential information Strong customer service and communication skills, both oral and written Ability to effectively learn and utilize new technologies Ability to prioritize and multi-task Successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies Authorized to work in the U.S Proficiency in Office365 suite Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Robust retirement plans Substantial paid time off which includes holidays, vacation and sick time Generous 75% tuition discount, available to employees as well as eligible spouses and children Company Overview There’s a reason Penn State consistently ranks among the top one percent of the world’s universities.
