HR Assistant / Administrative Support - Richmond, VA

Pay: Up to $20/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hybrid: 2 days onsite / 3 days remote

Overview

Dominion Energy is seeking a detail‑oriented HR Assistant / Process Assistant to support daily HR operations within a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment. This role partners closely with HR representatives, recruiters, and business leaders to coordinate staffing activities, support employee lifecycle processes, and provide frontline customer service through the HR helpline.

The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, a customer‑focused mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
• Support HR team with daily administrative and operational tasks
• Assist recruiters and hiring leaders with staffing coordination
• Manage on/offboarding activities and documentation
• Respond to employee inquiries via the HR helpline
• Assist with resolving basic employee relations questions and routing issues appropriately
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and tracking logs
• Support ongoing HR projects requiring organization, follow‑up, and cross‑team collaboration
• Provide excellent customer service to internal employees and external partners

Required Skills & Experience
• 2+ years of HR, staffing, or related administrative experience
• Experience in customer service or helpline support
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast‑moving environment
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, HR systems preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting a large company or regulated industry (utilities, pharma, energy, etc.)
• College degree preferred but High School Diploma or equivalent required
