About the position
As a Home Loan Center Inside Loan Officer, you will play a crucial role in originating real estate loans for branch customers in regions that are not currently serviced by Loan Officers. This position is designed for individuals who are adept at managing customer relationships and navigating the complexities of mortgage lending. You will be responsible for originating standard residential mortgage loans primarily through telephone and internet interactions with customers referred by designated branches of the Bank. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to originate loans specifically for Bank employees, which adds a unique aspect to your role. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all originated loans comply with the Bank's underwriting guidelines as well as those set forth by the Bank's investors. It is imperative that you maintain strict adherence to regulatory requirements governing residential loan origination. You will also be tasked with setting up the originated loans in the Bank's system and ensuring their processing through to submission for underwriting. Continuous professional development is encouraged, and you will be expected to attend internal training sessions, sales meetings, and external training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge. Responsibilities
Originate standard residential mortgage loans via telephone and internet with customers referred by identified branches of the Bank.

Originate residential mortgage loans for employees of the Bank.

Ensure compliance with the Bank's underwriting guidelines and those published by the Bank's investors.

Set up originated loans in the Bank's system and ensure processing through submission for underwriting.

Attend internal training sessions, internal sales meetings, and external training opportunities.

Comply with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science or related field required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

NMLS registration required.
,
4 or more years of experience in mortgage loan origination required.
,
Proven pattern of success in consistent origination, closing, and funding of mortgage loans.
,
Knowledge of mortgage procedures, regulations, underwriting, and loan processes and procedures.
,
Effective presentation, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and negotiation skills.
,
Knowledge of the residential mortgage lending process for 1 to 4 family dwellings.
,
Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to mortgage loan origination.
