Role Description
The Registered Nurse, Clinical Delivery (RN) in this role will manage the communication of critical and abnormal lab results to patients, ensuring compliance with state licensure requirements. This includes:
ā¢ Contacting patients and documenting communications
ā¢ Following up on lab escalations
ā¢ Collaborating with providers to ensure all patient interactions are appropriately managed and documented
This role is also responsible for:
ā¢ Patient education, ensuring patients understand their lab results and any necessary next steps in their care
ā¢ Providing study-specific information tailored to the patient
ā¢ Serving as a point of escalation for the Member Services team
ā¢ Addressing complex inquiries related to lab results
ā¢ Assisting in the resolution of patient concerns by providing clinical insights
ā¢ Liaising with the Clinical Conduct Team to investigate and resolve issues related to duplicate lab results or other concerning findings
ā¢ Assisting in training and educating the Member Services team to improve patient interactions and enhance service quality
This role is critical in ensuring timely patient communication and maintaining compliance with clinical and legal standards.
Qualifications
ā¢ Active RN licensure with a commitment to compliance and regulatory standards
ā¢ BSN or equivalent degree preferred
ā¢ Minimum of 3 years of experience as a working nurse, clinical research, medical communications, and/or related field
ā¢ Proficiency in Salesforce or other EMR systems for documenting patient interactions
Requirements
ā¢ Compact licensure required, non-compact state license preferred
ā¢ Willingness to maintain and obtain additional state licenses as needed
ā¢ Must hold all licenses in good standing
ā¢ Strong analytical capabilities and exceptional communication skills
ā¢ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple patients efficiently
ā¢ Ability to work independently while collaborating with a larger clinical team
ā¢ Precision in data analysis and documentation to ensure accuracy in lab results and reporting
