Role Description
We are a growing medical supply company seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing & Intake Specialist to join our remote team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate billing, patient intake, and insurance eligibility verification.
ā¢ Handle medical billing processes including claim submission, follow-ups, and payment posting
ā¢ Manage patient intake, ensuring accurate entry of demographics and documentation
ā¢ Perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification prior to service or order processing
ā¢ Utilize Medact billing software (Windows-based) for all billing and intake tasks (required)
ā¢ Communicate with insurance providers to resolve claim issues, denials, and discrepancies
ā¢ Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and billing records
ā¢ Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and reimbursement
Qualifications
ā¢ Mandatory experience with Medact billing software (non-negotiable)
ā¢ Proven experience in medical billing, intake, and eligibility verification
ā¢ Strong understanding of insurance processes, claims, and reimbursements
ā¢ High attention to detail and accuracy
ā¢ Excellent communication and organizational skills
ā¢ Ability to work independently in a remote environment
ā¢ Reliable internet connection and Windows-based computer
Requirements
ā¢ Experience in a medical supply or DME (Durable Medical Equipment) company (preferred)
ā¢ Familiarity with U.S. healthcare billing practices and insurance policies (preferred)
