Job Summary • United Healthcare is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our high-performing Memory Care Units. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about supporting individuals living with Alzheimers disease, dementia, and other cognitive impairments. As a CNA in our memory care setting, you will play a vital role in enhancing residents quality of life by delivering personalized, respectful, and patient-centered care in a safe and structured environment. These high-paying positions reflect the specialized skills, empathy, and professionalism required for memory care excellence. • Key Responsibilities • * Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility • * Support residents with memory loss using dignity-focused and person-centered care techniques • * Monitor and accurately report changes in residents physical condition, behavior, or cognitive status • * Assist residents during meals, ensuring proper nutrition, hydration, and safe swallowing practices • * Implement care plans designed by nursing and clinical teams • * Maintain a calm, structured, and reassuring environment for residents prone to confusion or agitation • * Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols at all times • * Document care activities clearly and accurately in electronic health records • * Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams • * Provide emotional support to residents and reassurance to families • Required Skills and Qualifications • * Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing • * Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification (preferred or required by location) • * Strong communication and interpersonal skills • * Demonstrated compassion, patience, and empathy • * Ability to manage challenging behaviors calmly and professionally • * Physical ability to assist with lifting, transferring, and prolonged standing • * Commitment to confidentiality and ethical caregiving standards • Experience • * Minimum of 1 year of CNA experience preferred • * Prior experience in memory care, dementia care, or assisted living is highly desirable • * New CNAs with relevant training and a strong interest in memory care are encouraged to apply • Working Hours • * Flexible scheduling options including day, evening, night, and weekend shifts • * Full-time, part-time, and per-diem opportunities available • * Overtime and shift-differential pay may apply for nights, weekends, and holidays • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • * Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimers disease care principles • * Ability to follow structured routines while adapting to residents individual needs • * Skill in de-escalation and redirection techniques • * Strong observational skills and attention to detail • * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment • * Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse populations • Benefits • * Competitive, high-paying compensation packages • * Shift differentials for nights, weekends, and holidays • * Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance • * Paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay • * Retirement savings plans with employer contributions • * Ongoing training and memory care specialization programs • * Career advancement and internal mobility opportunities • * Employee wellness and assistance programs • Why Join United Healthcare • At United Healthcare, we are committed to delivering compassionate, innovative, and high-quality care to our most vulnerable populations.
