Position: Data Entry Enrollment Specialist
Location: Fully Remote; Must be local to the Hampton Roads area
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Hours: Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm

Day-to-Day:
Ā The Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering data related to health insurance enrollments during the open enrollment period. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our enrollment team, you will contribute to maintaining data integrity and providing exceptional service to our policyholders.
Ā Data Entry:
Ā Enter and update enrollment data, including personal information, coverage details, and policyholder preferences, into the company's database accurately and efficiently.
Ā Verify the accuracy and completeness of data entered, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and protocols.
Ā Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Ā Quality Assurance:
Ā Conduct regular data quality checks to identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies.
Ā Collaborate with the enrollment team to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
Ā Report any issues or concerns regarding data quality to the appropriate stakeholders.
Ā Document Management:
Ā Organize and maintain physical and electronic enrollment records.
Ā Ensure proper filing and documentation of all enrollment-related paperwork.
Ā Retrieve and provide requested information and documents as needed.
Ā Timely Completion:
Ā Meet established deadlines for data entry and related tasks to ensure a smooth enrollment process.
Ā Prioritize workload effectively to handle high volumes of data accurately and efficiently.
Ā Communicate any challenges or delays to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Ā Communication and Collaboration:
Ā Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including enrollment specialists and customer service representatives, to address inquiries and resolve issues related to data entry.
Ā Maintain open lines of communication with team members to ensure smooth workflows and provide updates on data entry progress.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Ā High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in data entry or related fields are a plus.
Ā Proven experience in data entry or similar roles, preferably in a healthcare or insurance setting.
Ā Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, with a focus on maintaining data integrity.
Ā Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of data entry software and spreadsheet applications.
Ā Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ā Knowledge of health insurance terminology and open enrollment processes is advantageous.
Ā Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and data protection best practices.
Ā Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
