Health Care Financing & Policy Analyst (Hybrid Option)

The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking a Health Care Financing & Policy Analyst to join their diverse team. This role involves supporting the identification of fiscal and policy issues in the Medi-Cal program, conducting analyses, and making recommendations for executive leadership. Responsibilities Under supervision, the Health Care Financing & Policy Analyst serves in a developmental capacity for one or more assigned HCF program areas affecting reimbursement of providers and health plans in the Medi-Cal program The Analyst supports identification of fiscal and policy issues and contributes to analyses and recommendations for executive leadership The Analyst researches and builds foundational knowledge of the assigned policy area, including fiscal, programmatic, and legal-regulatory considerations Strong writing, quantitative, and organizational skills are essential Skills Strong writing, quantitative, and organizational skills are essential Applicants must include a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for this recruitment The SOQ must be typewritten on letter-sized paper (8.5" x 11") and submitted as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF file Responses must use no smaller than a 12-point font, single-spaced and be no more than two (2) pages in length Each page must be identified by full name in the top right corner Candidates who do not complete and submit a SOQ may not be considered for this position What skills, qualifications, and experience make you an ideal candidate for this role, and why does this role specifically interest you?
