Head of Finance

Our agents have already delivered measurable impact:Over 5 million hours of contact center operations saved35% more calls answered compared to non-AI operators45 million calls handled with a 99.9% uptimeBacked by Accel, Atlantic Labs, and Singular and trusted by over 1,000 customers, our growth leads an industry shift toward sophisticated and accessible conversational AI.About the Role:As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for building the processes and managing the daily and strategic financial operations for Synthflow AI, alongside supporting on broader topics including Legal, HR, Admin and Operations. We’re looking for somebody with experience running finance in VC backed scaling start-ups who is excited to take the opportunity to build out this function from scratch. Specifically you will: Lead the finance department, establishing key functions such as controlling and financial planning.Develop and implement a comprehensive finance strategy and model that aligns with Synthflow’s mission and business objectives.Oversee accounting, FP&A, liquidity management, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure robust financial management.Prepare financial reports for the founders and investors, providing insights and recommendationsSupport on future fundraises, including preparing financial documents and coordinating with investors.Oversee legal and entity-related matters, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards in existing and future marketsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting.Collaborate closely with department leads to ensure financial alignment and support for business initiatives.About You: Proven track record in a high-performance finance function, ideally within an early-stage startup or a fast-moving environment.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or CFA certification is advantageous.Strong experience in setting up and implementing finance functions within a VC-backed startup, including FP&A, controlling, and budget management.Expertise in strategic finance and building robust financial models for senior leadership.Adept at implementing and managing business KPIs for financial performance.Experience in building and managing high-performance finance teams.Experience with payments platform Stripe is a big plus Experience in setting up finance automations between tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse stakeholders at various seniority levels.Highly adaptable to changing business needs and environments with a focus on problem-solving.Fluent in written and spoken English & German; additional language skills are a plus.What we Offer:High-ownership role in a fast-moving startup.Scale your impact as the company grows.Competitive pay, equity options, and comprehensive benefits that reflect your skills and experience.
