GIS Analyst - Consultant (Remote)

Job Title: GIS Analyst - Consultant (Remote) Location: Columbia, SC Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: Under limited supervision, the GIS Contractor will perform the independent analysis, design, implementation, modification and upgrade of agency applications for geographic information systems and spatial data for the agency. Emphasis will be placed on the client GIS Infrastructure maintenance, security updates, and software updates. Job Responsibilities: • Implement, maintain, and provide technical support as the ArcGIS server administrator Assistant. • Coordinate and develop scripting and database management with the client Database Administrator Assistant. • Design, implement and/or modify web, mobile and client/server-based GIS applications for program areas. Provide technical backup to other modules as assigned. Adheres to Information Technology application development standards and security requirements. Provide appropriate administrative documentation/project communication. • Allow flexibility to support smaller GIS projects or consultation. Participate in agency meetings that support understanding the scope of GIS applications within agency goals and strategies. Required Skills: • A bachelor’s degree in geography or a related field and 3+ years of work experience in the development and maintenance of geographic information systems (GIS). • 3+ years of experience utilizing ESRI’s ArcGIS Maps SDK. • 3+ years of experience with scripting and development languages (Python, HTML, CSS, jQuery and Bootstrap, C#). • 3+ years of experience with SQL Database, ArcGIS Server Administration for ArcGIS Enterprise. • 3+ years of experience with GIS software standards and capabilities; Ability to analyze and accommodate GIS user requirements. Ability to develop and manage GIS projects effectively. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of ArcGIS server infrastructure and ArcGIS Enterprise Portal maintenance. Apply tot his job
