Genetic Counselor - Remote
Labcorp is seeking a US Remote based Genetic Counselor to join our team! This position will provide both comprehensive prenatal genetic counseling and will also support our Results Reporting group. Work Schedule Monday β Friday, 8am β 5pm eastern time zone Responsibilities β’ Provide virtual comprehensive prenatal genetic counseling to a diverse patient population following established genetic counseling practice guidelines and procedures β’ Provide focused genetic counseling regarding carrier screening and cell-free DNA results. Will support multiple clients nationally β’ Ensures proper completion of counseling paperwork and documentation β’ Responsible for the communication of relevant results and coordinating appropriate follow-up, per client-specific requirements β’ Communicate and consult regularly with the clinical geneticist(s) and managers, as appropriate to situation β’ Participate regularly in staff meetings with counselors in the region β’ Serve as a genetic information resource for specific referring physician inquiries β’ Maintain appropriate client interaction and confidentiality β’ Be able to engage in professional growth opportunities including writing abstracts and publications, physician education and other projects β’ Have access to the expertise of a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling colleagues β’ Enjoy benefits including a competitive compensation package, CEU educational support and reimbursement for genetic counseling certification β’ Participate in educational and research initiatives within Labcorp Minimum Qualifications β’ Masters degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling β’ American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) certification or Active Candidate Status for ABGC Additional Job Standards β’ Ability to obtain multi-state licensure including NJ and PA β’ Highly organized, including excellent time management skills β’ Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail β’ Excellent communication skills, both written and oral β’ Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Application Window Closes 5/7/2026 β’ *Pay Range $85,000 - $120,000 / year All job offers will be based on a candidateβs skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
