General Education Teacher | Corning, New York
Inspire creativity and foster artistic expression as a dedicated Art Teacher supporting students in the Bath, Hornell, or Jasper-Troupsburg, NY area. This full-time contract position, serving 37.5 hours per week, is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator ready to make a meaningful impact in regional schools.
Your role will be onsite, working directly with students, nurturing their skills, and encouraging a love for the visual arts. If you hold a NY State Visual Arts Initial Certificate and enjoy designing engaging lessons, your expertise is highly valued here.
What we're seeking:
• Current NY State Visual Arts Initial Certificate (Initial, Professional, or Permanent)
• Previous experience teaching visual arts in a classroom setting is desirable
• Ability to develop lesson plans that align with New York State Standards
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Willingness to work onsite in the designated NY area
• Flexibility to teach across elementary, middle, or high school levels
You will be responsible for:
• Planning and delivering art instruction tailored to students’ individual talents and learning needs
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
• Integrating various artistic media and techniques into the curriculum
• Monitoring student progress, providing feedback, and communicating with school staff and parents
• Participating in faculty and professional development meetings as needed
