The following describes typical LISTSERV Maestro development work:
• Design and implement efficient and maintainable Java-based web applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Review code in screen-sharing sessions to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Research latest trends and technologies in web development.
• Design and implement backend functionality using the Java MVC frameworks Struts1 and Struts2.
• Use relational databases (MySQL / Oracle / SQL Server) or disk storage to persistently store application data..
• Design user interface screens with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Use Java ANT to regularly build installation binaries of the product.
• Use version control systems (Subversion) to keep track of and analyze code deployed in earlier software versions.
• Assist computer operations teams in deploying live systems to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Design training materials and host training sessions with colleagues and customers.
• Collaborate with other teams worldwide to define, design and ship new features.
• Work independently from a remote location.
Team members specialize in some of these areas and assist others if help is needed. You can be a successful candidate even if you only have experience in some of these areas.
