As our Freelance Thumbnail designer, you will concept and execute thumbnails within established show branding and layout systems, bringing each episode to life through strong photo selection, framing, typography, contrast, and visual tension. You know how to create clarity in a crowded feed and how to push curiosity without drifting into clickbait. This role requires both creative instinct and performance awareness. You should understand how audiences scan, compare, and choose in-feed, and how small visual decisions can materially impact CTR.What You’ll Do:Concept and design multiple thumbnail directions per episodeExecute within existing series templates and brand systemsCreate thoughtful A/B variations with clear testable differencesCollaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to align on positioning and test hypothesesIterate quickly based on performance dataMaintain consistency across recurring formats while keeping visuals freshWho You Are:You have 3+ years designing thumbnails for scaled YouTube channelsYou understand what drives clicks in competitive recommendation environmentsYou design with data in mind, not just aestheticsYou can clearly articulate why one variation may outperform anotherYou move quickly and are comfortable with high weekly volumeYou understand Gen Z visual language and internet-native pacingPortfolio SubmissionsPlease submit a portfolio with YouTube thumbnail examplesInclude any A/B test variations you’ve designedCompensation & PerksCompetitive Compensation  –  $600-$900 per month
