Forensic Accountant Needed for Medicare Advantage Commission Reconciliation

Pay: $20 – $40 per hour

Schedule: US Eastern time - Part-time with opportunity to grow into full-time

About the Role

We are looking to hire immediately for a Forensic Accountant to help analyze and reconcile Medicare Advantage commission statements across 10+ insurance carriers.

This role involves breaking down commission statements, identifying discrepancies, and building a structured system to track expected vs. actual commission payments.

You will work directly with leadership to reverse engineer how commissions are reported by different carriers and help build a long-term financial infrastructure for tracking and validating revenue.

What You’ll Be Doing

Analyze Medicare Advantage commission statements from multiple carriers

Learn how each carrier reports commissions and payment structures

Reverse engineer policy-level revenue and member value

Identify discrepancies between expected commissions vs. paid commissions

Help build a commission reconciliation framework

Develop processes and documentation for ongoing tracking

Work with leadership to identify information gaps from carriers

Details about what data we currently receive from carriers

Information gaps we are trying to solve

From there, we will work together to build the infrastructure and processes needed to manage commissions across all carriers.

Ideal Candidate

Experience with health insurance or Medicare commissions

Strong forensic accounting or reconciliation experience

Ability to analyze messy or inconsistent financial data

Advanced Excel / spreadsheet skills

Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

Comfortable working independently

Experience with insurance carriers, Medicare Advantage, or commission auditing is highly preferred.

Opportunity

This role starts part-time contract but has clear potential to grow into a full-time position as the system and workload expand.
