Financial Advisor / Fractional CFO (Multi-Entity: Nonprofit + Housing + Consulting) - Contract to Hire

Overview I’m a founder managing multiple organizations and I’m looking for a detail-oriented Financial Advisor / Fractional CFO-style finance partner to help me build financial structure, clarity, and consistency across: 1. Tested to Testify (nonprofit) 2. Numa Peace Living (housing initiative serving battered women) 3. Ruach Global / Osay Eniye Impacts (speaking engagements, consulting, and brand-driven income) This role is for someone who can help organize my finances across entities, establish strong budgeting and reporting, and build a simple money system that supports growth. You will work closely with my Director of Operations, Jalen, to ensure everything is implemented cleanly. What I Need Help With (Responsibilities) - Financial structure + organization Set up/clean up financial workflows across multiple entities (separate, compliant, organized) Recommend a clear chart of accounts and category structure per entity Create simple policies for spending, reimbursements, and approvals - Budgeting + forecasting Create monthly budgets per entity and a consolidated view across the full ecosystem Build a 13-week cash flow forecast (and keep it updated) Identify financial risks, cash gaps, and solutions before they become problems - Reporting + visibility Monthly reporting package: budget vs actuals, key insights, and action steps Founder-friendly dashboard with clear KPIs and trends Nonprofit-ready reporting for board/donor visibility (as needed) - Coordination with bookkeeping/taxes Collaborate with (or help source) a bookkeeper/CPA to ensure clean books Support month-end close workflows and reconciliations Help ensure we are tracking things correctly for tax time (no legal advice required) - Revenue support (consulting/speaking) Help organize revenue streams and build a plan for predictable income Support pricing, margin awareness, and owner pay strategy (in coordination with CPA) Deliverables (First 30–60 Days) - Multi-entity financial “map” and organization plan - Budgets for each entity + consolidated monthly dashboard - 13-week cash flow forecast - Monthly reporting template (repeatable and simple) - Finance workflow: weekly check-in + month-end close checklist - Clear next steps for scaling financial operations Experience I’m Looking For - Proven finance experience (financial advisor, fractional CFO, finance manager, senior bookkeeper, etc.) - Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow skills - Experience supporting multiple entities strongly preferred (nonprofit + for-profit is a plus) - Comfortable creating structure from scratch and simplifying complex finances - Clear communicator who can explain numbers in plain language - High integrity and confidentiality Tools (Preferred) QuickBooks Online or Xero experience preferred. Google Sheets required.
