As a Virtual Testing & Simulation Quality Assurance Engineer on our Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of packaging and mechatronics. About the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Team The MSP team at arenaflex is at the forefront of driving future innovation across all aspects of mechatronics and packaging. We focus on industrial hardware and control machines, including robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation, packing technologies, and packaging materials. Our team collaborates with key stakeholders such as Operations, RME, ACES, Supply Chain, Transportation, WW Design, and more to ensure the delivery of robust products that seamlessly integrate into the arenaflex fulfillment network. As a Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in Virtual Testing & Simulation, you will be instrumental in developing virtual platforms that allow solutions to be tested and verified through simulations and emulations with a high degree of fidelity. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and execute simulations and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) tests to virtually validate end-to-end solutions using real-life software. Virtually ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training & learning, deployment, process- and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integration, service, and support prior to delivery. Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products, communicating these to the product team, including hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams. Coordinate simulations and testing processes, identifying and analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, and recommending and facilitating solutions to these issues. Connect with internal customers, review client, customer, and user feedback, and maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field. 5+ years of proven experience working with large cross-functional engineering teams, with domain expertise in modeling, simulation, testing, integration, and/or quality assurance. Proven experience in fulfillment systems, including storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment. Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel up to 70% to business locations and project sites. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics and high-speed manufacturing. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, operations, and management. Project managing skills to start and finish projects successfully.
