We're seeking an experienced Virtual Math Tutor to join our team and support middle school students in grades 6, 7, and 8 with their math concepts. As a Virtual Math Tutor, you'll have the flexibility to choose your schedule, work remotely, and earn a competitive hourly rate. Our platform pairs students with the same tutor for multiple sessions a week, fostering a consistent and supportive learning environment. Key Responsibilities Indicate your availability to tutor in your profile, without minimum or maximum requirements Review curriculum materials and lesson content to prepare for tutoring sessions Tutor students virtually in a 1:1 to 1:3 setting, building relationships and supporting their learning experience Commit to your scheduled tutoring sessions to provide a consistent experience for students Utilize online virtual tools and technology to deliver high-quality tutoring Requirements and Qualifications To be successful as a Virtual Math Tutor with Littera Education, you'll need: Relevant experience working with school-age learners in some capacity Relatively consistent ongoing calendar availability from 8am-9am EST, 3-4 days a week Ability to effectively instruct and engage students with clear communication and interpersonal skills High comfort level with online virtual tools and technology Desktop or laptop using the Chrome browser, a video camera, and a reliable/stable internet connection Residency in the continental United States, Alaska, or Hawaii A bachelor's degree is preferred, but college students with 1+ year of relevant experience are welcome to apply Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching or tutoring math to middle school students Strong knowledge of upper elementary and early middle school math concepts Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills What We Offer As a Virtual Math Tutor with Littera Education, you'll enjoy: A competitive hourly rate of $18 per hour, with opportunities to earn $22 per hour for high school algebra I session series after completing an optional algebra assessment Flexibility to choose your own schedule and availability Opportunities to work with students across the United States A supportive and collaborative online community Access to a substitute tutor team should you need a day off within a scheduled session series Career Growth and Development At Littera Education, we're committed to helping our tutors grow and develop in their careers.
