Experienced Tax Preparer or EA - Ultratax experience Required (seasonal, with potential to continue)
Summary of Responsibilities
A small tax office providing personalized service in the San Mateo Area is looking for 1-2 tax preparers for a seasonal position. The ideal candidate has several years of individual, partnership, and S-Corp return experience, experience communicating with clients is a must. There will be plenty of room to be challenged, grow, and work with the same clients for the long term.
We have a flexible working arrangement - you can set your hours.
Essenstial Functions
• Reviews tax information submitted by clients.
• Possesses knowledge of tax regulations in order to answer clients’ questions.
• Prepares personal tax returns of various complexities.
• Prepares corporate, partnership, and S-corp returns not requiring advanced expertise.
• Prepares personal tax projections through use of computer software.
• Prepares initial drafts of any letters required.
• Works with confidential client matters; requires ability to keep matters confidential.
Required Experience and Skills
• At least two years of experience preparing individual, corporate, partnership, and S-corp tax returns.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office products
• Quickbooks experience a plus
• Ultratax experience required
• Comfortable working off multiple monitors in a paperless environment.
• Willingness to learn new software and establish procedures.
• Willing to get your hands dirty in all aspects of the business.
Educational Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or bachelor’s degree in another discipline with various course work in taxes and accounting, through intermediate level.
