About the Role As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you'll have the flexibility to choose your assignments and work on your own schedule. We're looking for passionate educators who can provide high-quality instruction and support to students across various grade levels and subjects. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day or long-term substitute teaching services in Bedminster, NJ schools Deliver instruction and support to students in accordance with the teacher's lesson plans Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment Communicate with school staff and administrators to ensure a smooth teaching experience Participate in 1:1 check-ins with your Scoot consultant to discuss school feedback and develop your skills Essential Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits NJ Substitute Credential Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor Background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost) Full COVID-19 vaccination A passion for education and putting students first Preferred Qualifications Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience Special education or subject-specific expertise (e.g., Math, Science, English) Experience working with diverse student populations Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you'll need: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt to new classroom environments and teaching styles Empathetic nature and a growth mindset Classroom management and organizational skills Trauma-informed teaching practices and a commitment to student well-being What We Offer At Scoot Education, we're committed to supporting our substitutes and helping them grow in their careers.
