About the Role The Student Success Coach position at arenaflex is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. As a coach, you will be responsible for providing personalized support and guidance to a group of assigned students, empowering them to overcome challenges, develop essential skills, and strive for academic excellence. This role requires a strong passion for education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote setting. Key Responsibilities Support enrollment, student development, and retention services, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all students. Manage a caseload of assigned students, providing proactive and timely outreach to coach them through their degree programs. Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach, helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary for academic success. Create a trusted environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests. Offer guidance on utilizing available resources to maximize student success, including teaching students how to leverage these tools effectively. Become a certified resume reviewer to provide resume and career development support, enhancing students' employability and career prospects. Act as a liaison between students and various departments, ensuring seamless communication and support. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent). At least two years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling. Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes. Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner and strong customer support focus. Ability to learn technical skills quickly, with a strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with a proven ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively. Familiarity with academic support software and systems, including student information systems and learning management platforms. Certification as a resume writer or career coach, with experience providing career development support and guidance. Knowledge of adult learning theory and experience working with diverse student populations. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills , with the ability to think critically and creatively. Strong technical skills , including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with academic support software and systems.
