Job Overview
As a Staff Data Analyst at Walmart, you will be responsible for performing daily data handling tasks, managing small to medium-scale projects, and providing quality contributions to analytical research. Your primary focus will be on working with cross-functional teams, including Item Success, Record Management, and Providers, to ensure the successful delivery of market research projects, meeting ISO and global data handling standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead execution on daily requests for data analysis and manipulation of primary and secondary data to support Provider and/or Internal requests
Assess demands for data services and understand the requirements of market research projects
Prepare, plan, prioritize, and communicate effectively to ensure expectations are met and delivered on time
Verify datasets for logical consistency, reformatting, and updating datasets for downstream analysis
Manipulate data into the right format for analysis purposes using Excel or SPSS (weighting and processing as necessary)
Be a proactive team member who provides advice or ideas for improvements and automation, where necessary, to enhance overall efficiency and delivery
Perform other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned
Develop and communicate best practices to stakeholders, across departments, to continuously improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of our product offer and processes


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business Administration. You should have a proven track record of providing insightful, data-driven support using quantitative data, as well as excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Strong proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Excel, SPSS, or SQL
