About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our Bookkeeping team, where you will play a key role in driving process improvements and ensuring accurate reporting of working costs. As a Senior GL Accountant, you will work closely with our Senior Accounting Manager and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries and monthly account reconciliations for assigned areas of the general ledger
Be a key owner of the monthly close process for assigned regions and entities, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Maintain financial records in accordance with US GAAP and consolidated financial statements, using accepted methodologies
Assist with providing audit support to external auditors on annual audits and quarterly reviews
Communicate with FP&A, operational partners, and external parties regarding significant accounting matters
Conduct ad-hoc investigations and projects to drive process improvement initiatives
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a CPA certification being a plus
2+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong understanding of US GAAP, PCAOB standards, and SOX/internal controls
Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, and GSuite is preferred, but not required
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong business acumen, process-oriented, and data-driven, with a high degree of attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets
